Sketchy Sketches

Sometimes it is harder to sketch than other days.  Today was sketchy for me but I did sit on the porch and sketch so that is good.

 For Scavenger Hunt 678

Number 1, season - I sketched the geraniums again with the new pens and added some other marker/pens that Joanna had given me.  They do not have as fine a point but worked well together.  These type pens tend to bleed a bit through the paper.  You will see that in my next sketch.

For the Southwest-Western Challenge on wetcanvas, in the big book with a Micron 02.

These are from Jenna's photos.  I'm not into birds so I will blame that on the weird turkey.  I have a hard time seeing the shapes on deer and sheep.  I wonder if it is a mental block or lack of practice on those animals.  I do like her dog.  He was sitting there enjoying the sunset or sunrise.  So cute.

Nice job on the hanging geraniums. They look so nice and bright. Cute sketches of the animals.

Thanks, Joan. I always feel better after I go away and look again later. Well, mostly.

have you ever tried Copic markers before? i think you would love the colours, but the bleeding through the pages does bug some people

Jennifer Rose. I remember you mentioning them before. I need to order some. Thanks so much.

Sketchy sketches! Funny lady! I am not a bird person either, but now and then I do a little watercolor for someone who is a bird person. Your deer looks pretty good - they are difficult - like horses.

Bag Blog, I'm smiling. Thanks on the deer. Really lack of practice and observation? I find horses much easier.
