Peaceful Sketch

It is peaceful this morning.  I know people are traveling all around but it will be quiet here. The fishermen were out in the early quiet time.

Well, we are going to Jennie's this morning.  I'm getting a "new to me" hand me down iPad, several upgrades over the one I have which was also a hand me down.  I'm handing my old one to Joanna for her to watch videos on.  So all good.  This was my Mothers Day gift.

I sketched on the porch with a Lamy pen in the big book for Scavenger Hunt 680.

Number 1, peaceful - the lake was quiet without much sunlight.

The easterly lake/pond.

The westerly lake/pond.

We will probably stay and watch the Longhorn Baseball team play (streaming).  They are at the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City.  They won the conference and are trying to win the tournament as well.  They are probably going to host a Regional next weekend whether they win or not.  They are number 2 or 3 in the country at the moment.  I haven't talked about the team much this year.  It is not as exciting when you don't go to the games.

We used to travel to many "away" games including the Big 12 Tournament.  That is where I met Bag Blog, Lou, and her husband.  It was a few years back!

Look at that, 2009!  Seems that was the first time.  Wow!

Jennifer Rose, thanks. I like it so far. It is huge. I still prefer a key board for typing. I have a Bluetooth keyboard, I need to try that.

The lake does look so peaceful. Glad you got to enjoy it.

Best of luck with your new iPad. Mine is so old, but it keeps on chugging. The only problem is there is no more memory to download anything and I can't load Procreate on it.

I looked back at your link to meeting Bay Blog and Lou. It is fun to meet up with people that way. Enjoy!

Joan, thanks. The lakes and area are beautiful. Too bad it gets so insanely hot in July, August and September. Hopefully we will get to go away for part of that time! Lou has become a good friend. We, see her and Toby pretty often and have had some good times together. Would be fun to see you again!

Hi, Joan S. Thank you so much. I have sketched on the new iPad, just have to post it.

One of the reasons, I don't answer as quickly on my blog is that I use my phone to accept comments, but I hate to answer the comments using my phone. I also use my Kindle for so many things, but I don't like to type on it. I got a bluetooth keyboard years ago, but never got it to working well. So, I don't use it.

It has been a few years since we went to any college baseball games.

Bag Blog, I really dislike typing on the small keyboards with fingers or thumbs. Give me a computer anytime. I will try with the larger iPad, but it still requires a touch screen so......

Bag Blog, I meant to say we went to the Regional baseball games today in Austin. Was so nice, a great day. We did have 10-15 minutes of rain and the game stopped for a bit. We haven't been to Oklahoma City in 5 years or so, right? Texas won today so I imagine they will win their Regional and then will host a Super Regional so we have about 6 more "real" games. Yay! Then Omaha and back to internet viewing.
