The Scavenger Hunts are a list of twenty-six items that you see everyday. Artists take turns creating the list. Items are to be sketched from life, not photos. Sometimes when I sketch just because -- it won't fit on the list. This time I put "your choice" on the list to cover that circumstance. I actually used it.
Number 7, your choice - more mugs at the Texas Grill, Pilot ball point pen on coasters

Number 5, skyline - well our skyline. I usually think of skyline as in a city
Number 6, garden tool - Roger was working on the fence and there was a shovel, post hole digger and crow bar there. All could be used in gardening, right?
These are in the big book with a Micron 02. I was a go-for person and took off about 15 minutes to sketch this. It doesn't look much like Roger. If you follow my blog or know Gene, they look a lot alike.
Joanna came out later and helped Roger finish the fence. And, of course no photos.
The old part of the fence with my 12 little bluebonnets and then the new part of the fence. It looks ver nice. Thanks to Roger and Joanna and Gene.
For the same Hunt 673, Number 4 - something stacked , sketchbook, puzzle book, folder, papers, etc. on my desk. The only clear spot on my desk is where I put my hands in front of the keyboard. This is in the big book with an assortment of pens and markers.

I found this short blog post interesting by Gurney about how our brains process what we see. I thought the green lines in the square most interesting as the green lines are the same length. You would not guess that.

Good sketches for the hunt. I like that you gave us the option of one that is our choice. Thanks!
Thanks, Joan. Sometimes when you sketch without the list you just hope it will fit. I decided I might need the "your choice" option. Ha. Not much sketching now.
nice lot of sketches 🙂 the big book is still being used?
Hey, Jennifer Rose! Great to see you. Yes, the big book still lacks a few months to get finished. Only got a couple of sketches the last couple of weeks. Whew! Wonder if I will miss it when done. :-)
would be a mean joke to get you another big book lol
Jennifer Rose, Oh my! Shush......
Is the fence totally new? The coffee cups are fun. I just glazed about 30 cups - ready for the kiln.
Part of the fence was railing that was around the porch and where the hot tub was when we moved in. Gene took it down and started the fence around the front of the yard. He wasn't able to finish on his own so Roger came out and he and Joanna finished it up. Roger is used to building fences, took him no time.
We went to breakfast again and I started sketching my cup and realized I had sketched it before. So I just finished it. The other sketch is in my little sketchbook and I did this on a coaster. My memory is not so good. Ha.
Bag Blog, you need to post some photos on your blog or just send me some photos of the cups. Fun to see.
Jo super sketches. I admit sketching cups is a bit difficult for me. You do it so well. Am going to check out your link now. Thanks for sharing. Hope your weekend is good. P.S. I like your fence. Hugs!
Debbie, Thank you so much. Gene will be happy that you like the fence. Ellipses are a real problem freehand, but I try. :-)
