Hunting a Pet

An item on the list for our latest Hunt is "pet".  As you probably know, we do not have any pets.  That is by choice.  It is so much easier to just get up and go somewhere if you don't have to worry about care for your pets or trying to take them with you.

Gene keeps me supplied with artificial pets.  I am surprised on Valentines Day or Mother's Day or any day with a little stuffed animal.  It started out with some little dog he saw that was so ugly it was cute and he bought it.  Now it is tradition.

We went to Houston the other day to take Gene's sister to the airport.  We stopped at Buc-ee's  https://buc-ees.com/  for a rest and snack.  These are fairly new and we first went to the one here in Bastrop.  They do not allow big trucks.  The place is huge and has a gift shop, bakery, ice cream, coffee, snacks, fresh sandwiches, some groceries, and such.  Their big claim to fame is huge super clean bathrooms.  That is the big draw. Yes, really. The page today says "Potty like a Rock Star".   Anyway we got home and the next morning I went to my computer and there was the Buc-ee's beaver on my desk.

Scavenger Hunt 664  https://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/topic/scavenger-hunt-664-jan-18-jan-26/  had a challenge to use different media for a sketch.  I decided to use colored pencil in the big book.

Number 2, Pet - Buc-ee's Beaver

Buc-ee's beaver is pretty cute.  This stuffed animal is a bit larger that my usual surprises.  Most have been Beanie Babies. https://shop.ty.com/

The Buc-ee's is cute and your sketch is perfect. We stopped at a Buc-ee's on a trip to Houston. Toby had been driving and when he got out of the car, he had a sharp sciatic nerve pain. I thought I was going to have to carry him in. Getting old is no fun. Well, I did laugh at him a little.

Bag Blog, I understand the laughing. Guess medical attention is the one thing that Buc-ee's doesn't have. Evil grin.
