Yep, the big old coffee table book is calling to be finished. I just can't sketch in it every day, well, I could. Should I commit to that? I've had a hard enough time just sketching and making an effort to paint. The pastels have felt good lately and that is wonderful. I am definitely on an upward trend in painting. I'm hoping that by talking about some of the trials and errors that I can inspire and not drag everyone down. Yikes, that is not a good idea to drag you down.
Back to sketching. I sketched in the big book with a Micron 02. I sat on a chair in the doorway to the dining room/kitchen area of the laundry room and held the book on my lap. I sketched toward the outside door.

Number 3, drafty - the doorway, when the main door is open the wind whistles around the storm door, we don't really have any other drafty part of the inside of the house.
I haven't put up a sunrise for a while. This was a couple of days ago.
The sunrise was very pretty and pink as in the second photo. The panoramic photo has more light even though it was taken right after the pinky one. Having the aperture open for a longer time evidently lets in more light and changes the color somewhat. It was a beautiful sunrise.

Nice detail to that basket! This is a nice sketch including the basket and the door. I'm glad you are slowly getting back into the feel of the pastels. Have fun! Lovely sunrise!!!
Thanks, Joan. The baskets make great hampers. Pastels are feeling good.
Gorgeous sunrise Jo. You should paint that orange coming through the trees!
Hi Rose, thank you. I do need to paint. :-)
I think we should plan a paint weekend maybe when the boys can go ride their bikes. We can paint. The sunsets are beautiful.
Bag Blog, we are going to have to make this happen. Painting together. Have you been to Paladuro near Amarillo. May be a good meeting place. We've never been. Probably mostly closed but......
Bag Blog, the minute I say that it will snow there!
When we went to my nieces wedding in June year before last, we drove out to Paladuro with the grandkids. It had rained the night before and was really muddy, but we did do some climbing around in a big cave. It was hot and humid. I may be going out to Amarillo soon when my sister has surgery. Of course, I will be taking care of her a little :)
Bag Blog, We've made plans several times to go to Paloduro and something always happens. Now we are stuck here for dr. appts. Rats. Hope your sister does well.
Maybe we can get up to your place one of these days.
