The light has been beautiful on the ponds on these crisp fall mornings. We have one fisherman that comes out on most days. Handy he was here for the Hunt sketch.

Sketching with pastels is fast and simple. You don't need much detail so no nitpicking or messing around. I held the board in my hand and didn't bother with an easel. You don't have to go over and over like you do with colored pencils. You just put a color down and it is done.

Jo absolutely beautiful. You captured the feeling of sunlight...Such a cheerful work. Hope you have a delightful week. Hugs!
Like I said on FB I love the way you handled the morning light in this. Does he ever catch anything?
This is so lovely Jo!
Debbie, thanks so much. Fun to see you!
Joan, thank you. The fisherman catches, but the ponds are catch and release. He fishes several times a week.
Kay, appreciate your comment and that you stopped by. See you around.
Hi Helen. Thank you so much. It is a beautiful scene to try to capture.
Your little painting is really nice - I love the light. Pastels are so simple. I love them.
