A new Hunt 656, just slipping by.
As per usual, I sketched on the porch. It was so lovely out there. I didn't sit in my chair with my feet up, I sat on the glider and sketched my chair.
Number 1, your drawing place - I have several but this is my favorite place in the chair with my feet on the stool. Coffee in the morning or wine in the evening on the table at my side. Nice.
You can read about my chair here:
I told a bit about buying my sketching chair on this post
https://jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/stir-crazy-but-sketching.html
It was so funny that day. I said on that post that Gene was trying out
an electric recliner. He wanted to try the chair and it wasn't plugged
in. He found a worker, not sales person, and they plugged it in for
him. He sat down pushed the button, the chair went back and then
flopped over to the left almost dumping him out. When I showed up, he
was laughing so hard and had to show me. No wonder they didn't have it
plugged in! I sat down on a chair to watch him. I looked down and
said to him, "I'm buying this chair." "What for," he asked. "To sit
on the porch and sketch." I knew he wouldn't say no. I don't like
recliners but the chair is an upright chair or you can but the back in
some reclined positions so Gene likes it, too. I like using a footstool
instead of reclining. I love my chair.
We bought the chair in October and by the time I wrote the post on
November 9, we had our house picked out. I knew we would have a porch
eventually.
We had the house open today. I love this weather. Warm days, cool nights. Perfect.
I'm getting hungry .. what's for dinner?

The porch is such a blessing. You spend so much time there! I would too. I remember that post about looking for furniture. How quickly time passes!!!
Fun memories Jo. I love how you and Gene find ways to laugh! And what was for dinner?
Hi, Joan. Thanks. Some of the memories fade which is a good thing. Remembering the good times is more important.
Rose, hey there. Thanks for coming by. And, Gene had left over spaghetti and I had a quesadilla. Not very exciting. We had been out for breakfast so decided not to go out for dinner as well. Heh, heh.
its been nice here too, a little damp lol but thats scotland 😀 its been warmer than usual but not complaining about that, just not warm enough to draw outside lol
Jennifer Rose, I've never been to Scotland but from what I've read I'm happy for you that it is nice weather. :-) I should get out and paint, I like painting out more than in studio from photos.
I love the story of Gene and the flopping chair. I can just see him laughing and showing you how it worked. Never a dull moment.
Bag Blog, it was a good story, thanks. Laughing is good medicine. Hopefully we will keep on laughing.
