New Hunt, New Sketches

We do have a new Scavenger Hunt prompting new sketches.  Time flies when you are stuck in a rut.  That is what it feels like.  I didn't do many sketches last Hunt.    I love that Texas is opening up.  I don't like that we are still supposed to stay home.  Are they going to card us when we go out?   It is much more likely that we will have a car wreck than get the virus.  Even a chance of being struck by lightening.  We need to get out for mental health and the economy.  Sigh.....

Number 1, healthy - walking outside, sketching, sitting on the porch.  On Mother's day with a Micron 02 in the big book.

Walker with dog, grass too high and she is down the slope so you can't see the dog or many wildflowers.

She walked to the left across the bridge and going more southwest now.  There is the dog!

Number 2, bear - a small stuffed bear, tan and brown, soft and velvety.
Number 3, girlie - a llamacorn, pink with a silver horn and glitter.  So cute.  It says on the tag,
"Lana - llamacorns are very rare.  You'll never see them anywhere.  Birthday March 7".

Interesting as that is my mom's birthday.  These were done with a Micron 02 in the big book as well.  I posted a photo on Mother's Day of the animals.

We hope to go toward Austin this afternoon and see the fly over for the Texas Frontline Responders.  That will be nice.  Maybe get us some take out for dinner.  Crawfish Etouffée sounds good from the Cypress Grill.  https://cypressgrill.net/

I love the LLamacorn! I doubt the Thunderbirds fly over Duncan, but maybe Wichita Falls.

Bag Blog, the llamacorn is so cute. They delayed the flight for an hour for clouds so guess it will go now. We will leave shortly. :-)

Crawfish Etouffée sounds good...maybe I'll join you. I saw the fly-over when the planes were over Long Island for the tribute. Fun to see. We are still pretty much shut down and with Jerry home now, I'll be indoors most of the time. That means virtual sketches or indoor subjects when I have time. Since he can't get up from the bed this keeps me a bit busy. But that will pass too. Enjoy!

Joan, wish you could join us for lunch. (It was good and we have left overs for tomorrow..) We did get to see the flyover. So fast but beautiful.

Great that Jerry is home. What a learning curve you two have. Will be thinking of you. Anything we can do long distance we would be happy to. Warm hugs and best wishes to you both.

most things are still shut here (except grocery stores (that have put in rules for shopping) and essential businesses), and im honestly fine with that. yes it is messing with the economy, and i understand how that can effect the country, i just think we are going to have to get use to living life a bit differently then before this all started.

Jennifer Rose, Thanks for stopping in. Happy you are doing better. Yep, life is going to be different for sure. You take care of yourself and yours.
