Hunting 625 Pop Corn and Bluebonnet Photos

Popcorn kernel was on the Hunting list.  Mary gave us some pop corn containers and that seemed fun to sketch as they are red and white.  I used Micron 02 and Zig Millennium for the color.  Freehand and at home.  Sometimes I should do a pencil under drawing.  Just not my style day before yesterday.  (the container is plastic)

Number 1, pop corn, Number 2, tea strainer and Number 3, potato peeler

Sketched in the big book for Scavenger Hunt 625

Bluebonnets are in bloom.  A few not so good photos.  I should slow down and focus, just like my sketching.

First the little ones by our mailbox.  There are only about 8 little stems this year.  Something is eating the leaves so not much growth.  Drat!

 This one looks pretty good.

These are by Highway 71 with a bunch of Indian Paintbrush mixed in.

And the pollen from the Loblolly Pines has arrived.  Covers everything and comes through the screen as you see on this glass table.  So when the weather is the nicest, we have to keep the doors and windows closed or this would be all over the house.  This is about one days worth collection.  The good thing is that people don't seem to be allergic.  It will last about a month.

We are going by Jennie's and Brandon's later.  She said we are welcome to come, just bring our own toilet paper!  And we should sit 6 feet apart.  That girl!

** I wrote this on March 13 and didn't post....sigh.

I love the wild flower season. It has been a bit cool here and the red buds are just now coming out. Trees are beginning to be green. We also have had an over abundance of rain, which caused the pear tree blossoms to go everywhere looking a bit like snow.

Bag Blog, our wildflowers are pretty but not nearly as abundant as other years. We haven't had enough rain. Go figure.

Jennifer Rose, sorry to tempt you on the popcorn! Evil grin. I'm sure you don't need to eat it. I probably don't either.
