I took the day off yesterday. I can sketch every day with no problem but when I set this goal I forgot how much I hate schedules. I mean, I can sketch any time, but Inktober calls for an ink sketch every day in October. Sketching two or more sketches a day is fine ... if I don't feel obligated to do it. But when I "have to" do it ... not so fine. Don't you love complainers? Enough...
Day 21 - treasure. Well my family is my treasure.
Day 22 - ghost. This is from a photo of the ghost town in Manor. The church is from my mind. I'm pretty sure the ghost town is not old, it is a faux ghost town to attract tourists. They have a hamburger joint and that is about it. They have special events but the day we went it was really deserted .. so ghost town.
Both sketches are in the big book. I used a Prismacolor brush pen for the first and the Macron o2 for the writing and the second sketch. I went for uncomplicated which is normal for me.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

- I Grew up in a small town , Magdalena, New Mexico. I enjoy art and the pleasure other people get from my work. I always donate some of my sales and art to charities, especially for children. That started in Bolivia with Para los Niños. "I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colors. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns." -- Winston Churchill

Every once in a while a break is needed. I made sure I had a few extra sketches done so when I was off at the wedding I wouldn't get crazy if I missed sketching one day...and I did. lol
Joan, you are a trooper. I am straining to get one sketch a day done. It is a mental thing somehow, an obligation. A false one.
