Gigantic was an item on the new Scavenger Hunt 600

The huge pine trees here are gigantic. I'm sure they are 70 feet or more. Beautiful to see.
I sat on the recliner couch. I have sort of figured a way to get in and out of it. Not easy! I sketched on my iPad with the Apple pencil and the app, Brushes Redux. There was a good amount of time involved and somehow at the end I deleted the "layer" which I didn't know about. Luckily the app records my work and I could snap a screen shot near the end of the video before the screen goes back to white. I was very irritated that there was no way I could see to recover the end. I didn't think to hit undo until I had tried some other things. That might have worked. Sigh. Good thing it was not something that took hours to do.
Number 1, gigantic - the tree out the two story windows.
Here are a couple of photos of the cabin we are staying in.
It is comfy with a second bedroom upstairs for company. We can use the garage where we keep the tricycle, my painting stuff and much more. Do not know why we bring so much stuff. On the other hand we have things we like to use with us.
I need to get a frame for the little geranium painting and get it fixed. We are going to Taos this afternoon (Gene's last physical therapy as we will have company next week.) so we will see what Walmart has. The Walmart is not a Superstore. The closest Superstore is in Española and there is a Hobby Lobby in Santa Fe -- I think. Such is the life in the "boonies".
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

looks like a nice little cabin :) nice porch to sit out on
The little house this year was quite comfy.
I noticed that the Taos Walmart was improved, but still not a superstore. The "gate closers" won't let them expand. They worry that it will put the other grocery stores out of business.
Cool sketch. Sorry you lost it! :-)
Jennifer Rose, the cabin is nice. I can't hardly exist without a porch anymore.
Bag Blog, we enjoyed your visit in the house. :-) The store here has more things than Albertson's in Taos at least food that we eat. Surprised us and isn't that much more expensive. Smith's in Taos doesn't take Visa cards this year so we haven't been in there but once to check. They are usually the better of the three for groceries. Of course we don't cook much.
Joanna, the video of the sketch is there and then blank at the end. Guess I covered it with a layer and don't see how to remove it. Not important but strange.
