Late Breakfast Sketch

I forgot to post this breakfast sketch yesterday.  Today is the last day of Scavenger Hunt 578  http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1462397  so it was almost too late.

Number 4, breakfast - granola
Number 5, cylinder - the raisin container
Number 6, round/oval - bowl

We did not have granola for breakfast.  We had a New Mexican breakfast with chile, potatoes, eggs, sausage, etc.  I cannot eat cold eggs so no sketch of that!  I do put raisins and dried cranberries on my rice cake with peanut butter and cream cheese,  I have sketched that many times.

The bowl is a new one.  HEB (our grocery store) had these white bowls with bluebonnets on them, so very central Texas.  I had to buy a couple.  Of course they are made in China and I have zero cabinet space for them.  I have no restraint in buying cups or bowls.

And.... a few of the bowls.  I have more in various places, including wooden salad bowls.  With just two of us, they aren't used very much.

Tomorrow is a new Hunt and I am hosting.  The new list will be posted tonight.

The Longhorns are playing Stanford in California in a four game series.  The games started last night, the Horns won 4 - 0.  The game was a pitching duel remaining tied until the top of the 9th when the Horns came through.  Excellent!  They play tonight again, then Saturday and Sunday afternoons.  A tough stretch for the Horns with so many games.  They can do it, right?

The two teams have been competing for years, playing at Stanford one year and then at Texas the next year.  As of last night the all time series has Stanford ahead 42-36-1.  Three more wins by the Horns would be great!  Hook 'em Horns!

A couple of photos from a game at Texas in 2010.  Horns won 6 - 3.

This scoreboard is gone this year.  It was replaced by a video board that isn't as tall.  We saw a few home runs go over this one.  The new one will be easier to scale.
