Hunt 578 Already

Scavenger Hunt 578 is in the works. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1462397

How time flies.  In fact I did not get my last sketch for Hunt 577 posted on line.  I will post it here.  Whew!

Number 8 Yard - Out my studio window, sketched with the Pilot fountain pen.  A page in the big coffee table book.

Now for the first sketch in Hunt 578.

Number 1,2,3 - Green, Red and Blue

It took about 45 minutes from wiping off the paper, finding the objects and painting.  I broke one of the red salt and pepper shakers a while back so this one is for display and painting now.  The upside down bowl is from Mexico.

The LSU Tigers are in town for The University of Texas Baseball.  Jennie and Brandon went to the game as Brandon is a LSU fan.  The Horns won, 8 - 1.  The Tigers are number 1 in the country so a great win for the Horns.  The stadium was full and lots of excitement.  The University of Texas Bluegrass band was playing in the entry under the stands before the game and performed the National Anthem, they played it pretty quickly.  I put a snippet on Instagram if you are interested... they were unplugged.   https://www.instagram.com/p/BufDXHRAMKN/

Bevo, the live Longhorn mascot was there and also Hook 'em, the mascot person in costume.  Lots of stuff going on.  It hovered between 54 and 52 degrees but without wind so we were able to enjoy the game with our layers of clothes and blankets.  I'm going to try it again today.  Gene is not going.  Joanna and I will go and stay as long as we can.  Hook 'em Horns.

As always, I have enjoyed catching up on your recent posts, Jo. Like your creative green, red & blue grouping--clever to turn the bowl upside down for a good composition. I also enjoyed your Austin posts (and hope all goes well with Gene's next operation. Maybe the Good Luck Food Mart is a prediction :>).

Jennifer Rose, thanks. It is always fun to do "colorful" things in pastel. I can't use pastels in the big book so I miss a page in the big book. I have to use colored pencil there and I'm too lazy to color, color, color color.....

Mary, thank you so much. I will tell Gene about the Good Luck Food Mart! So far so good, right? Nice to see you.

Nice vibrancy to your red, green and blue objects. When is Gene having his next surgery? Wish him all the best from me.

Hi Jo! So great how dedicated you are to your sketching, I need to do more. Sweet pastel, great colors. I think I have that exact shaker but in green.

Joan, thanks. I love rich and bright colors. Next surgery is in April hopefully so he will be healed up to go to New Mexico this summer!

Barbara, hi there! Sketching has kept me going. Haven't painted much. It felt good to play in the dust for a change. I've never seen the shakers in green, pretty I bet. Thanks for stopping in.

I threw out a salt and pepper set recently. I had had them for years and didn't use them. They were not as cute as your red shaker. Mine was a broken chrome-like pepper grinder. Funny how we keep things! I have a similar Mexican bowl as yours - I use it for salsa.

Bag Blog, it is so hard to toss "stuff". Our house is overflowing in just seven years. Yikes!
