Gene rode his trike from Socorro toward Magdalena yesterday. I waited a few minutes and sketched on my iPhone with the app Brushes and my fingers. The result lacks details as I quit when he arrived it was a pretty day but windy and cool. A hard ride for Gene.
Number 2, landmark- South Baldy in the Magdalena Mountains.
It took me forever to get the photo edited for wetcanvas and here so it is small. I repeat myself when I say I dislike apps and typing on these small devices. I need my iMac!
The new Apple computers use apps, clouds and Bluetooth. They don’t realize the whole world doesn’t have super speed internet. Pbftt.... me and my iMac are antiques.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I am such a dinosaur when it comes to computers and apps. You’re amazing.... beautiful piece.
hmuxo, thanks so much. I have trouble with apps, just when I figure it out, they change or discontinue.
small but still nice :)
I think the problem is that it is becoming more common to have even half way decent net in most places and soooo many people get new computers every year most places don't stop and think not everyone does that
Jennifer Rose, thank you so much. Yes, and everything done for the young techies in the urban areas.
I can't imagine sketching on the iPhone...the iPad is hard enough. Looks like a scenic spot!
Thank you, Joan. I sketched on an iPhone first so my iPad seems huge.
Fuzzy mountains for sure. The wind must have been blowing :) I'm at Viridian using their wifi so I can type on a big laptop. So nice!
Bag Blog, thanks. Nice to have good wifi and type. I am happy to be on my iMac, too. We have satellite internet and they have oversold so sometimes in the evening it is too slow to check speed. When they slow down our service you can't hardly tell the difference. It is best about this time in the morning. (10-11 a.m.)
Didn't know you were back in NM - hope you are having good weather! Very nice mountain painting on your app!
Hi, Regina, thanks. We had a nice time in New Mexico. It was cold but sunny and dry so you don't need a big coat unless you stay out working or something like that. Visited family mostly. Ate some good New Mexico chile, always a good thing.
I like the sketch even though you weren't able to finish it.
Joanna, it is like they say: Paint what you know. Thanks.
