I'm hosting Scavenger Hunt 555
Think about joining in on wetcanvas. We have sketchers from around the world. A few of us have been sketching since 2006 in the forum. Some come and go when they need to refresh their skills. I've been doing it so long, that it is a habit and I feel guilty if I don't sketch. Today I was sketching because I am hosting and feel that my sketches are not up to par ... a homework day!
According to my "Horror-Scope" today, I am supposed to be a whiz at my art and be inspired and inspire others. Hmmmmmm....
Number 1, fish - When we are at home and something from the beach or water like fish, shells, etc., come on the list I never have anything. When I saw these fish on the wall I knew they would be on the list.
Number 2, kitchen item - This wrought iron key holder is in the kitchen here. Interesting.
Number 3, jar - a jar of Hatch green chile. Yummy.
It's another beautiful day here. About 70 degrees today. Sunshine and quiet.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

really like the hanging fish :)
I use to spend a lot of time on wetcanvas on the coloured pencil section, last time I felt it was full of really angsty angry people and havent been back :/
Jennifer Rose, thanks for the fish comment. wetcanvas has its spots. I go to the pastels - but it has changed alot. I enjoy the Scavenger Hunts and the Southwest forum. I check in the plein air. Haven't connected with anyone in the pastels or plein air for ages.
