Déjà vu, all over again is a quote attributed to Yogi Berra. It makes me smile. One, actually two, of the items on the list is déjà vu. I suppose I sketch Gene the most for portraits, eyes, ears, old, etc., so decided a sketch of Gene fits in the item list.
Number 5, déjà vu - a sketch of Gene out on the porch reading the paper on his computer. You can't tell it is Gene but you rarely can in my other sketches. I did another sketch and that is important to me.
I sketched with a Sharpie Pen which is another of the fine line markers. I didn't realize I had another brand in my world.
Today is sort of a day off. One of the mini blind cords broke and we wait for the repair man. Gene could do it, but it is such a tedious repair. He has fixed quite a few things here in the rent house. He likes to stay busy.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

About Me

- Jo Castillo
- Bastrop, Texas, United States
- I Grew up in a small town , Magdalena, New Mexico. I enjoy art and the pleasure other people get from my work. I always donate some of my sales and art to charities, especially for children. That started in Bolivia with Para los Niños. "I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colors. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns." -- Winston Churchill

ugh hate when the cords in blinds break. such a pain rethreading them through the slats
makes sense though you sketch him when needed, he is readily available for sketching :)
Jennifer Rose, thanks for keeping track of us. Gene is a good sport about the not so great sketches. :-)
