I sketched yesterday in the big book with a Prismacolor 03. Hard to get back in the groove after so much hot baseball.

The Longhorns hosted and won the Super Regionals against Tennessee Tech. Tennessee Tech won their Regional at Oxford against Ole Miss. It was sooooo hot. The games were at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and the tie breaker was on Monday at 12:00 noon. Temp hung around 94-98.
Very unpleasant. With a super final result! The Longhorns are off to the College World Series and will play Arkansas on Sunday at 1:00 pm our time in Omaha. Hook 'em Horns!

Great results! Exciting for the youngsters to get to Omaha! The final game on Monday was Horns 5, TTU 2 going into the 9th. Longhorns were the visitors so the Golden Eagles batted in the bottom of the inning. With a single and a walk and one out, Nolan Kingham (usually a starting pitcher, he pitched on Saturday) came in to pitch for the Longhorns. He got a batter to fly out to left field, then walked a batter. Oh no, bases loaded, TTU could win with a long hit. But the batter hit to the shortstop and was out at first! So hard on the old tickers! Hook 'em Horns.

I have not been keeping up with college baseball or any baseball for that matter. The world cup soccer is coming up. Maybe I will keep tabs on soccer.

Bag Blog, I sort of lost touch in the baseball without a Texas or Big 12 team. World Cup isn't that interesting without the USA either. Some of the games have been good, though. We have caught the ends. We also don't have a sports package on our TV so ...
Jennifer Rose, I don't think the thingamajig has a purpose. Gene said he thought it did. I will try to remember to look on the info at the gallery next time I go.
