Happy Flag Day!

I love our flag and love to see it flying ... everywhere.  When we were in South America and we came downtown to the Embassy, the flag always looked so beautiful.  It makes me proud to live in our free country, The United States of America.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

My pastels are still calling for practice.  I sketched on a paper I had used before, white.  Not sure what kind it is.  It must be Daler-Rowney.  It holds pastels well for the smooth surface.  I had another sketch on the back, just turned it over and here you are.  It took about thirty minutes.
