Hunt 454 Sketches & Baseball

These are homework type sketches.  I am trying to keep with my art and sketching.  The Hunts keep me going.  These are not my best or most inspired sketches.  I'm mentioning this only because I think it is important to keep moving and doing things even when you are not motivated.

You see what has happened with my painting.  The longer I am away from it, the harder it is to get back and really focus.   I am trying to keep sketching even when I am not very interested.  I certainly don't want to really become a permanent couch potato.  I don't mind sitting and watching TV, doing puzzles, reading, etc.  But ... it is good to get up, move, see people and just do things.

I sketched in the big book with Prismacolor 03 and Brush pens.  The iPad is a quarter of a page and the puppy is about half a page.

Number 2, animal - my newest puppy.  Super soft and cuddly.
Number 3, favorite item - iPad and iPencil.  Not really my favorites but I have drawn my iPac many times and the iPad was handy.

The Longhorns did it!  They are Regional champions and will move on to the Super Regionals.  At this moment the Super Regional is scheduled in Oxford, Mississippi, against Ole Miss.  However, Tennessee Tech upset Ole Miss today and they play again at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time.  If Ole Miss would lose, the Super Regional would probably come back to Austin.  Wow, down to the wire.

That leaves only Texas Tech and the Longhorns from the Big 12 Conference still on the road to Omaha and the College World Series.

The Longhorns beat all three of the other teams in the Austin Regional over last weekend.  Whoopee!  Hook 'em Horns!

As the temps get warmer, I get to be more of a couch potato. Well, actually, when the temps are cold, I get to be a couch potato. Hmm. What does that say about me? I'm reading a good book right now which doesn't help much.

The puppy sketch is fun. The perspective of the iPad reminds me of Titus' (grandbaby no.3) drawings. His drawings are simple, but many of them have 3D perspective. He is pretty amazing for a 5 year old.

Bag Blog, thanks. Guess our grands take after us, eh? You should post a sketch or two. Hope they don't get the procrastinator habits from us.....yikes!
