A couple of quick sketchy sketches in the big book. I drew with a Prismacolor 01 and added color with some Zig Millinnium pens. I used Zig pens along time ago and haven't seen any in a while. I was looking on Amazon for something else and there they were so I ordered a set of Black, Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. Not enough colors, but wanted to try them to see why I liked them. No determination yet after only one use.
Number 3, Lima - a copper church from Lima, Peru
Number 2, Golf - our old golf bags and a cart still hanging on the wall in the garage. Haven't used them for a few years.
Here is an interesting art item I found on Empty Easel. Interesting for kids but may be nice for an art center or teaching room for art.

Gene bought a Purple Martin birdhouse a long time ago when we were in the other house. That house was in the forest and the birds never took to it even though Gene put it on the roof for a while. It was still too closed in. We brought it to this house which has the open yard and after a couple of years the house attracted some Eastern Blue Birds which are very pretty to look at and no bother.
Last year the Purple Martins showed up. We had been led to believe that they dined on mosquitoes so seemed a good thing to have around. I'm not sure they ever ate a mosquito but they are related to Barn Swallows and are very pesky birds to have around. This year the Barn Swallows decided to return to our porch and join the fun.
When we moved into this house there were ledges on the porch just for the swallows to build on. Gene took them down and it took a while to be rid of the swallows and now ... back they came. Drat!
So, we decided to take down the birdhouse and see if we can get rid of the pests all over again. Hopefully they will move on down the road.....
The view will now be open to the lake.

WE have a bird building a nest in our new rain gutter. She makes all sorts of racket. I don't I am a big bird fan - or a little bird fan either.
Good luck, Bag Blog. These have been sitting on the gutters and fluttering around. Gene is going to have to get a ladder and check. Yikes. Hard to get rid of...
nice to have the view, but now the birds are homeless :p they might come back for a bit looking for a new place to live now tho :/
there is a starling family in the eave next door, drives Sky insane lol there is a broken tile in the roof that for the last 5 years they have been coming back to and the council keeps saying they will fix it.....
Jennifer Rose, yep they will hang around. Hard to make them homeless but the area has lots of food right now and they should find something.
At the other house we had Beewick Wrens, they liked living close to the ground so would use the woodpile, under corners, under the car, etc. Cute though.
Hopefully you will have birds but not a leak in the roof!
Hope they relocate. Nice sketches!
Hi, Joan. Yes, it is quieter already today. They needed to find a place. There is lots of feed around. The field is full of blackberries for any fruit lover types.
