Bewildered....Sketching

Gene tells an old joke about Daniel Boone.  After one of his big excursions into the mountains he held a newsconference.  A reporter asked, "Mr. Boone, have you ever been lost?"

"Nope," he answered, "but I was bewildered once for three days."

That has been me, it seems.  I just knew that I had posted my sketches from Sunday.  But no, I did not post them.  I also numbered all these sketches for Hunt 541.  It is now Hunt 542.  I used the right link to wetcanvas but not the number of the Hunt.

So here you go a bit late and bewildered.....

Sketched in the big book with the Zig 05 pen.

Number 2, wine cork

These are done with a chisled edged Prismacolor, challenge to use a medium you don't use often.
Number 6 wine bottles - the one on the left may not be wine and it isn't crooked, the bottle on the right has a bent neck from the fire.

These were done with an ultra fine Sharpie which I don't often use either with the challenge to do a blind contour drawing.  (drawing without looking at the paper, I added continuous line which may have made it easier)

Maybe I am less bewildered now and caught up with my sketches.  Going out with Pomona tomorrow and one of her student friends, we will see how that goes.  Always good to be out with other artists.

The Longhorns Baseball team won the Big 12 Championship on Saturday.  Congratulations to them.  The Big 12 Tournament starts tomorrow in Oklahoma City.  We decided not to go this year.  Texas swept the series against TCU on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to clench the title.  Hopefully they will continue to do well and they can host a Regional in Austin.  Texas Tech won over Oklahoma State which helped as well.  Hook 'em Horns!
