Boy, the less I do, the less time I have to do it in. Is it age or organization?? Baseball and daily "stuff" seem to occupy time and I have to do "speed Hunting".
We went to Austin for Brandon's belated birthday celebration. I took the big sketchbook, hoping to sketch the grand-dogs for the "pets" item on the Hunt list. They did not cooperate.

Jennie's and Brandon's yard is looking pretty:
Spring has sprung!
Baseball was sad and happy. Augie Garrido, longtime coach of the Texas Longhorns and much more passed away. Friday, they had a moment of silence and his number on the field. He influnced many players and other folks with his lifetime coaching. He believed that baseball was important to life more than it was a game. He wanted the players to succeed in their life after baseball. We used to joke that he would tell the batters when they came up to "be one with the ball". He will be missed.
The Longhorns won the first two games of conference play against Kansas. Hopefully another win today. Hook 'em Horns!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I like your touches of spring in the photos. Nice job on the pineapple. I find them very hard to do. I always want the outside to actually look like the real pineapple and rarely achieve that. Sounds like the gent who passed away had a special outlook on life.
Thanks, Joan. Augie was very special and had a huge influence on college baseball nationwide.
Girl, I hear ya! We are sisters! I just posted about structured time vs unstructured time. I definitely have problems getting things done if I have too much time. I do work well under pressure. Why is that?
Bag Blog, Ha, ha! Too many times my deadline is produced from my procrastination! Not good!
the pineapple texture is impressive!
Jennifer Rose, thank you. I don't remember trying a pineapple before, but I've sketched for a loooong time.
I love pineapple, just cant eat it any more unless its cooked on a pizza lol
good ones are very sweet and juicy :)
Jennifer Rose, ha, I meant never trying to sketch a pineapple. I love eating them. I like pineapple and cottage cheese. If you like it cooked, pineapple upside down cake was popular back in the 50s-60s and putting it on baked ham. We grill it for dessert. Yummy!
lol oops thought it was kind of odd you not having pineapple before lol
i've never had cottage cheese lol too creamy
ooh would love that cake but would eat it all myself :p
Jennifer Rose, I wondered. We had a friend's mom from the Boston area come to Peru when we were there. She must have been about 65, she had never eaten avocado. So pineapple could happen.
