The new Pilot fountain pen is interesting. Maybe a finer nib would be better. It does bleed through the pages in the big book. Looks a bit messy when that happens. It is good practice, though, so I will use it for a while. This is in the big book, maybe twenty minutes worth.

I have posted about Deborah Secor before. She is a great artist living in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She works in gouache as well. Deborah sold many paintings, taught classes, worked for the Pastel Journal, made a video or two for North Light, did demos at the International Association of Pastel Societies convention and much more. She takes part on wetcanvas and was constantly asked about "how to paint landscapes with pastel". Deborah wrote a book about it and decided to give it away and not sell it. Sometimes when we see something for free, you think it isn't any good. Download the book, it is more than worth it. It is full of "how to ...." and inspiration.

I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Good sketches! It is a shame that the new pen bleeds through. I hate when that happens!
Joan, should have gone for a more expensive pen. Do Lamy's do that? I've been writing cards with it, hoping I get used to picking it up quickly and not leaving a drag mark. Practice!
Notice that means my Christmas cards are not done yet.....
