Busy Times Sketches

It is hard to find time to sketch now, but I managed yesterday at home and today went out with the Bastrop Sketchers.  Only three of us with everyone traveling or getting ready for family time.  We met at the Art Center because we weren't sure of the weather.  It rained yesterday.  We got our lattes or coffee/tea and went across the street to Yoli's Taco Trailer.  They serve from like 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.  So good, Mexican plates and BBQ.  They stay pretty busy.  The special today was 3 rolled enchiladas, beans, rice and 2 tortillas for $5.  Bargain.  I had gorditas though, you don't see them on the menu at many places.  They were good.  A gordita is basically a fried thick corn tortilla stuffed with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, avacado, etc.  Mmmm, mmmm, good.

The sketches fit in Scavenger Hunt 523

The sketches at home were in the big book with a Micron 01.

Number 4, for your health - my new recumbent bike.
Number 5, 6 - something cold and something hot - the fridge and the stove.

Today I sketched in the travel sketchbook, Cannon mixed media paper.  I filled the sketchbook!!  Happy and sad as it is fun to actually finish a sketchbook.  Sad because I like the paper as it can take a bit of watercolor and markers.  The one I have left is bigger and regular sketching paper.  I'm determined to fill it though.  I sketched with a Prismacolor 03??  Not sure.

Number 7, something related to art - Lucy sketching.
Number 8, outdoor scene - the car wash next door, huge palm trees that aren't to common in Bastrop!
Number 9, for pleasure - Yoli's taco trailer for your dining pleasure.

As I was leaving I had a call from Ai.  She is in Alabama for Christmas.  It was so great to hear her voice.  You may remember from previous posts that they live in Thailand.  Fun!!

Then the car had a visitor on the door:

He/it seems to be missing limbs...  I liked the reflection on the car door.  Too bad that bug or insect was not on the list.
