Ending up Hunt 519 Sketches

Wow, nine days goes by so fast now.  These sketches are for Scavenger Hunt 519 which ends today and 520 starts up.

Number 10, art tool - Invisible Care (gloves) for keeping hands safe from paint, pastels
Number 11, three of something - old "fired" cups, upside down on porch to keep out rain water

I sketched out on the porch in the big book with a Micron 05 while the Honeybees were here cleaning our house.  I am so fortunate to have the house cleaned.  We always laugh because Gene and I both create clutter.  So when the cleaners come we have to scoot around and pick up "stuff" so they can clean without having to clean around things.  So the house smells great and the day was super gorgeous, up to about 72 today with sunshine.

I wasn't sure about the day as the sunrise was very red/pink.  My mom always quoted the old sailor thing,
Red skies at night, sailors' delight.
Red skies in the morning, sailors' warning.
Maybe it doesn't work if you aren't sailors.  Hmmm.

The start of our day, skies were pretty red.  It was a lovely, lovely day.

Thanksgiving on the horizon, too.  So many, many things to be thankful for.  Honeybees are one, both kinds.

Toby and I have a clutter problem too. One of these days I will give in and have a cleaner. Until then, my house stinks :) Red Sky in the Morning - good NM book!

Bag Blog, I probably never would have thought about having someone in to clean. The other house was full of antiques and stuff from South America. Much of it high on the walls and on top of cabinets. I decided to get someone to come in and dust/clean all that after a few years. It took them a couple of days to take it down clean, polish floors and steam clean the bathrooms. After that they suggested they come every week. Well, we couldn't afford that, but once every three weeks is great. Usually 3 or 4 people come they are in and out in 40 minutes to an hour. Vacuum, mop, clean the bathrooms, dust ceiling fans and all shelves. Will make beds, do dishes and clean the microwave. (I do my dishes) Fridge or oven are extra. Clean the glass on the sliding door, not other windows. In my studio they do the floors and dust anything that isn't art tools. Pretty darn nice. I'm spoiled.
