Hope to sketch today. Took photos of cousin Pat's granddaughters on their horses and other ranch stuff. Will add those later. We are in the North Texas panhandle today near Gruver, Tx.

Thanks, Joan. We should count Texas as two states because we take almost two days to leave and two to come back. :-)
It's always good to get home - at least until the Texas heat chases you back to the mountains.
Bag Blog, you are so right! It is supposed to be very stormy in Oklahoma, too. Heading south seems right. We already have an Angel Fire trip in our sights for mid August!! Maybe see y'all there.

Jennifer Rose, thanks, we had a good trip. Got home last night.
They have spent the last few years improving the visitors center and museums. The Crazy Horse sculpture hasn't changed much since we were there. Maybe the big hole under the arm. I will have to find my old photos. Ha.
I think a few people in charge passed away but family is trying to continue with the project. I remember reading about the controversy at the time when the project started
Yes, they have managed to keep the government out of it. Entrance was $22 each and then the tours were extra. An amazing project whatever happens!
it will look pretty impressive when they finish it :)
I didn't realize Crazy Horse was so far from being completed. It's pretty cool.

Joanna, we were surprised at the slow going, but it is so big and I'm sure takes lots of money. The visitors area is much improved!
