Final Sketches 497

We went to Baxters last night for dinner and wine.  It is a quiet place to relax.  We ran into some old friends and had a really good time.

I wanted to sketch a fire hydrant, so Gene went in and ordered the wine and I sketched in the car, it was pretty warm out.

Number 15, fire hydrant
Number 16, colorful, the beer signs on the wall where the window goes into a private room.  That may be a cribbage board.  They have changed the room a bit and added a shuffleboard and some dart boards.  It may not always be quiet.  :)

For Scavenger Hunt 497 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1427766

The Hunt actually ends tomorrow, so this may be a pre final, if I decide to hunt for a couple more of the items.

The Longhorns play TCU today.  If they win, they will play in the championship game at the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City.  TCU won all three games against us in the regular season when they played in Ft. Worth.  Two of the games were won or lost by just one run.  The Horns had way too many of those this year.  We are hoping for a win at 12:30 p.m.  Hook 'em Horns!

This post tells of our trip to Oklahoma City and the longest home run ever which was by TCU!  Yikes!  https://jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/2016/06/photo-road-trip-to-okc-and-quick.html

Great pictures! Great memories! When you come through again, I will invite Shay and Lindz over. They have their new coffee shop up and running - you will have to see it!

Bag Blog, we hope to get through there shortly. We are headed north in a couple of weeks. Probably come by on the way back. Anxious to see the coffee shop! Say hi for us in the meantime.
