Number 12, footwear - Gene's black boots
Number 13, piece of clothing - folded UT t-shirt
Number 14, treat - a favorite bite-sized peanut butter crackers
Gene rode his trike this morning. I went on the walk around the lake. I walk only a mile but that is better than zero miles. I came back and sketched on the footstool.
Gene left after I did. I was taking photos of flowers along the way and I looked up and saw him coming on the trail. As he rode up, he said, "I'm smiling!" then again after I said nothing, "I'm smiling!" Oh, I was taking photos. Duh! So I took a photo of him.
The flowers are not as abundant as some of the time. Here is some of the variety we have at the moment.
I think the first is Black Eyed Susan with the eye actually being a real dark red. Then the little Wine Cups, so pretty. The Indian Paintbrush and Indian Blankets. A little pink thistle looking one and some other tiny pink ones with more of the Susans.
I forgot to put the Mexican Hats in the collage.
And, this may be a kind of Queen Anne's Lace.
It was windy and muggy, the easterly lake was without reflections for the moment and the westerly had some reflections.
Gene got the storm door installed. He has been wanting one for the front door for a while. So I got one for Mother's Day.
The Longhorns won their baseball game last night against Kansas. They don't have to play today because they are in the winners bracket of a double elimination tournament. One of today's games will determine who they play tomorrow. Texas Tech and TCU are the Number 1 and 2 seeds but both lost their first game. It will be interesting to see how today finishes up and who the Longhorns play tomorrow. Hook 'em Horns!

A storm door for Mother's Day! Sounds like Toby. He once asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him "real gates". I was tired of snagging all my shirts on barbed-wire gates trying to pull the post tight using my shoulder/body. A storm door is better than a vacuum cleaner, I think.
Bag Blog, the storm door is way better than a vacuum! Thanks for the story.
Ohh wow that look so nice with the red brick. Can' wait to see it in person. Nice addition to Casa Castillo
Hey, Larry! Thanks, we didn't have too many arguments in the hanging of the door. It is a nice one! You can open the top which has a pull down screen.
