The humongous sketchbook is the place for my sketches today. The Micron 005 in the sepia/brown color is the tool of choice.
These are for Scavenger Hunt 487 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1423179
Number 1, a self portrait of you - I used the camera on the computer like a mirror maybe that is the reason I look that way. I never did a self portrait until the Scavenger Hunts and I am not good at them. Or, it may look like me and I don't like that! I do not like having my picture taken.
Number 2, above your head - the shelves that Gene made from rain gutters for my studio. They are so handy.
The shelves are great, you can see I posted about them and sketched them before. This post was when they were in my studio downtown.

This is the post with the shelves here in my studio.

And here the shelves are for my sketch today. Overflowing.......
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Of course I read "humorous" rather than "humongous". The humorous sketchbook. It didn't quite work, so I re-read. I must be tired. I love the rain gutter shelves.
Bag Blog, Great you can find humor in my posts! Makes me smile, too. I love my shelves, they are overflowing, need a couple more on the other side. Give Gene a project, too, he likes to be busy.
using the rain gutters for shelves is a good/clever idea :)
some people have a theory that one of the reasons people don't like having photos or doing self portraits is that it is usually a reverse image of our face and it registers as odd to yourself. no idea if its true but would make sense why so many people don't like seeing photos of themselves but then that doesn't explain the selfie craze....
and your self portrait looks good
second try at posting the right code :p
link to short article that explains a lot better what I was trying to about photos lol
Jennifer Rose, interesting about the self portraits and photos. You are right, too, that it doesn't explain the selfie craze.
