Sketches were in the traveling sketchbook today with a Micron 05. I waited in the car while Gene had a blood test for Vitamin D.
Number 7, starts with T - tower across the highway.
Number 8, shoe - You can tell it is my shoe because I do not untie my shoes when I take them off.
Number 9, spectacles or sunglasses - Gene's sunglasses
Number 10, chair - At the restaurant
Gene had to fast for his blood test so after we decided to go to La Cabana for breakfast. The restaurant is on the way to Smithville. We arrived and guess what? They don't serve breakfast.
Plan B: We were just a few miles short of Smithville so decided to go to the Comfort Cafe. They feed the homeless so by purchasing food with a bit extra donation you can help out. Well they are only open to the public on weekends. :(
Plan C: Drove by the Old World Bakery and they had a "Breakfast" sign. I have had lunch there and wasn't sure they had more than coffee and rolls. They do serve full breakfast. We had a good breakfast.
We sat at a very colorful table. It has Native American designs with quotes from Chief Joseph. Gene's chair had bears on it. Mine had kokopeli designs. The chair I sketched had a lady holding a big sunflower. The chair is bright yellow with the bright sunflower, red around that on the seat. The lady has a purple dress. The trim is black, red and green. The other chairs are different colors. Next time I'll snap a photo.
We stopped to get our handicapped signs for the cars renewed and returned home. That is about a full day for the old folks.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Jennifer Rose, maybe it was more than Vitamin D. I didn't see the papers. Ha! At any rate we got it done. He will go for a Physical Therapy check up next Wednesday. We are just getting old!!
Fun breakfast adventures!
Joanna, Ha. It was interesting to go all over for breakfast. We could have gone to several places in Bastrop, just decided to be different!
