Hunt 482, Continued

You know I have lots of cups, or you should know that.  Cup with tea or coffee was on the list.  I don't think I have sketched my new cup so here it is.  Santa (Joanna) brought it in my stocking for Christmas.  We promised not to have "collections" in our lives again but I have many cups and Gene has many canes among all the other "stuff" that keeps adding up.

For Scavenger Hunt 482  http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1420380
Number 3, cup with tea or coffee - I drink coffee
I decided I wanted to do the cup in color so I was lazy and did it on my iPad with Brushes and my fingers.  Of course that took twice as long (or more) that doing it with ink or pastels. I try to do it like a sketch with 'undo' only when it gets really crooked or the line goes off the page.

Robin picked the items for the Hunt this time.  She recycled Hunt #5 by MarieDom.  It made me chuckle when I read the intro:

Art Scavenger Hunt # 5
I really enjoyed the last few scavenger hunts and finally managed to win one of them!! So I get to choose the items for this hunt, and it was difficult, because after 4 previous hunts, the choice is getting more and more limited.

She never had a clue we would be still sketching the lists at now 482.  None of us thought it would continue.  When she said she won the list, it was decided that whoever finished the list first would start the next one.  That idea had to be changed because some of us never finish, so we decided to just take turns and have a sign up list.  Amazing that we are still going strong!

The cup and my new track pad. (Thanks, Jennie.)  My morning snack of rice cake, peanut butter, cream cheese, coconut oil and dried cranberries.

It is a beautiful day without the wind.  Yay!!!

The westerly lake with the new bridge and some ducks.

The easterly lake with "steam" rising as it was about 40 degrees at 8:00 a.m.  It is now 70 degrees or so.  Hmmm.

I'm off for a walk and Gene is going on his trike --much, much farther than me.

The wind has been blowing here. Yesterday the GGs were here. A friend of ours came to get hay and brought his grand-daughter. While he took the first load home, we let his granddaughter stay to play with the GGs. When I went out to check on them, Ella was beginning to climb my big pine tree. I told her not to climb my tree. It is not that big of a tree and the branches might not hold her weight. Then I asked where Sophie was. Everyone pointed up. Sophie was at the tip-top of the pine tree and the wind was howling. I told her to get down - I didn't want her breaking an arm on my watch. Later she admitted that the wind was really blowing the tree around. I think she was glad I made her come down and she didn't lose face with Ella.

It is funny how she made it sound like she won something when she hosted. lol It is amazing how long the hunts have been going on. I wasn't there from the beginning and have lost track of how long I've been participating in them.

We have high winds and rain here tonight...a nor' easter they say. I'm inside nice and dry.

I did finally sketch something for the current hunt.

Bag Blog, sounds like your GGs take after their grandmother! Lucky for you there were no broken arms! I'm always after Gene to stay off ladders, etc. I don't want to spend my time at the ER. :) Your GGs must be so grown up. We need to come see them/you.

Joan, it is funny about the Hunts. I think you have been there through most of them. Jeanne has been there since the first. I came in after a few and have only missed a few. :) Looking forward to your new Hunt sketches. You have been busy with your 30 in 30 days. The doggies have so much personality.

those are useful things to collect tho :D and not too hard to replace if anything did happen and hopefully it never does

Thanks, Jennifer Rose, when I get so many cups, I tend to use my favorites. I used to set them up in the shelf to rotate around to help use them all. There is always a few that don't make the rotation .. too big or too small. Ha.

It's very cool that the sketching group is still going so strong.

Joanna, yes it is cool. I've "met" lots of nice artists, feels like we know each other. One of these days I will meet more in person.
