I sketched in the big book with a Micron 01 and decided to color the lemons and limes with pencil. That takes so long.... Next time I'll use the speedy pastels!
Number 7, needs sugar - lemons and limes
Number 8, nuts and bolts - the bottom of Gene's Fit Desk (stationary bike). He rides it and reads the paper when it is too cold to ride his trike. The high yesterday 37.9 degrees. The high is supposed to be low 40s today on the way back to normal. Should be in the 60s for Christmas. Yay! I hope winter is then over. Ha. It will probably be nice until baseball starts in February, then get cold again!
Today would have been Great Frances' birthday. She would have been 100 years old. Great memories of Gene's Mom, she was quite the lady. I have posted many times about her. Here is one you might like to read, she died in 2011. https://jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/frances-birthday.html
My dad would have been 116 and my mom 111. Wow. So, today is for memories.......happy ones.
We have very few falls that bring dramatic color changes. It seems the leaves hang on and then it gets cold for a couple of days and the leaves are gone. I have posted from a few good years. This is one of the catch it while you can years. This is our two little trees and toward our neighbors.
Hope you are getting your Christmas and holidays in order. I'm off to put up the tree. Yes, I know I am so far behind.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

15/16C for Xmas would be ok, supposed to have up to 80mph winds here so probably wont be very nice out
your lemons and line look good, I haven't picked up a coloured pencil for months now, no time lol
I'm running behind in my blog reading. Since we did away with our internet and now use our phones as hotspots, I have to watch my usage. I usually check things on my phone, but I don't read blogs on my phone. Hmm, this comment should be copied and pasted on your latest post.
I think of Gene's stories about his mom - especially when my mom is doing something that is a bit crazy, for lack of better word. You and Gene always have such a good attitude about things - it's encouraging.
Jennifer Rose, that is chilly and wind is not good. Dangerous and depressing! Thanks on the CP, I don't use them much but I can't put pastels in the big book . Ha.
Bag Blog, I know the internet of the boonies too well. Shucks.
Will be thinking of you for Christmas. Know you are super busy with the little kids and moms. Hugs.
