For Scavenger Hunt 428
Number 6, tongue
Number 7, makes sound - Chewbacca kept barking at Larry. "Play with me, now!" I caught him in a brief moment of rest. He does not stay still unless sleeping.
We had such a good time. All the Texas bunch together. Larry left a short time ago and Chewy has been looking for him and waiting for him to come back. Thanks, Joanna, for the photos.
The weather was like fall or spring. Just beautiful. Well, on Christmas Day, it was very, very windy. Jennie and Brandon walked early.
Then Larry, Joanna and I walked around the lake.
It was very windy as I said. The water almost had waves. :-)
We ate our usual New Mexico food. Homemade of course. Tamales, enchilada casserole, beans, tortillas, green chile balls, biscochitos (cookies), chile both red and green, and other desserts like chocolate covered pretzels (Brandon and Jennie made), chocolate chip cookies (Joanna made), peanut butter cookies (I made gluten free), etc. Too much, but a good time and don't have to cook for a couple of days. I did make waffles this morning for a break from chile.
We played some cards, walked more, visited, watched football, and some friends came by. Yay!!
I hope you are having a great Christmas week and time to sketch and paint before the new year gets here.

great xmas tree sketch :D
could have made waffles with chiles in them :p
Jennifer, ha! I'm sure Gene's brother would feel the same way! And my dad used to eat chile on everything! We were given some dark chocolate almonds with chipotle in them. Good!
I made some biscochitos, too. I guess I was needing a little NM in my Christmas. We spoke with Gene - always look forward to our Christmas call. It was a pretty good day.
Bag Blog, I have tried biscochitos with the gluten free flour, but they are pretty hard. The gluten free peanut butter cookies were great. I'll have to try the biscochitos again and put in some baking powder so they can rise a bit and not be hard. Flour tortillas are the same way, so I eat corn tortillas. Not quite the same with butter!
We had a great time! I love the painting that Jennie got me for Christmas! Thank you for being a part of our Christmas. I will post about it next!
