For Scavenger Hunt 464
Number 7, bell - in the dentist's office by the door, black wrought iron
Number 8, largest man made thing I see - building at Western New Mexico University about 3 or 4 blocks away. Actually when I walked, I saw that it is two buildings. The large closer one is about 1.5 blocks away and the tower is tall and 4 or 5 blocks away. The bell rings at noon and several times a day.
Number 9, the shoes I have on today
Number 10, crocheted - doily in a bedroom
Number 11, something from a Spanish speaking country - nick-knack. I should have sketched something else at the dentist's office actually in Mexico. Sigh.... I did sketch the bell.
Gene is under a carport about a block away, didn't make it back before a thundershower came. It has been raining about 30 minutes and still very heavy. Water running down the street by the curb. Downtown streets will be curb to curb and more. Wow! Good thing is the sun will come out after, but this will cause flash flooding in the area.
I missed the rain on my walk. But, you can see it coming.
This was by the softball field looking north.
This was looking east. I'm not sure which of the rains got here, but it is still raining after about 45 minutes. Thundershowers are usually for a few minutes! No hail, good thing.
More later, more rain expected over the weekend.

I hear Lubbock got lots of rain and flooded the stadium. That's what happens in the flat country. We got some much needed rain here, too. It cooled things off a bit, but made my hair crazy curly.
Have fun in NM. We still do not have a plan.
what a neat looking house :) prob pointless getting wet weather gear for when he goes out? I know you get them for motorcycles but they prob are not cheap
Bag Blog, water is crazy dangerous. It flooded across the Main Street about a foot or more deep, runs into the arroyo and is all over in an hour. Just don't get caught in the flash flood. That was a lot of rain for Lubbock. We aren't doing much, resting up and dentist!
Jennifer Rose, Gene usually doesn't go out in the rain! He made it back to about a block and a half away and took shelter for about 45 min. Still got home very wet!
