Hunting Tree Sketch

I'm not cut out to be a botanical artist.  I did sketch a tree for Scavenger Hunt 445.
Another challenge on the list was a tessellating pattern.  I had already sketched the pine cone and decided I didn't want to suffer another one.  The tile on the floor was a handy item, though.  Lazy me.

Number 6, tree, whole to show the shape - a Loblolly pine across the field.  It seems much fuller but when I got to sketching, I noticed they are fuller when all together or just depends on the tree.  This one is a bit sparce.  Drawn in the big book about 8 inches tall with a Micron 03 pen.

There was an article in the paper about rubbing your fingers to alleviate pain and suffering.  Each finger is for something different.  Then it said that clapping your hands makes your mood lighter/happier.  Applause all around!!!

I saw your pine on FB. It looks great. All that detail is like zentangle- mind absorbing.

Just clapped my hands and now I'm happier! :-)

I like the tree sketch.

Thanks, Bag Blog. I did try to get close on the actual limbs. Absorbed my mind, I need it back!

Joanna, happy that you are happy. We just clapped, too. I often clap to run the crows out of the yard and that makes me happy! Thanks.

was the articles about reflexology? one of those things that works because of the placebo effect, but if it works for people thats all that matters :)

I think you are being pretty hard on yourself saying you are not a botanical artist, your tree looks very nice :)

Maybe we need a map of the fingers. lol Nice sketch.

Jennifer Rose, I didn't take much notice about the article except for the clapping. :) I think the forefinger had to do with headaches. Couldn't hurt to do a finger massage I imagine.

And for the trees or botanical drawing, I'm just not patient to do an exact copy. Thanks.

Joan, We did have map on the list. Should have sketched their photo of the hand. You are right! Thank you.
