Happy Easter to my readers! I'm not religious but do pause and remember what this day is all about. If you don't celebrate Easter, then peace be with you on this special day.
We went to dinner last night with the girls after the baseball game. (The Horns lost to TCU so won 2 of the 3 games. Better than we expected! Hook 'em Horns!) Anyway, Jennie gave us some Easter chocolate bunnies, a reverse of all the bunnies we have given her. Made us smile! I had to get into the package today and sample the ears. Really good!
The eyes are a bit scary, right? It was fun to get them.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

What is it about eating the ears first? No one ever starts with the tail.
Hoppy Easter! I got side tracked on "To blog or not to blog" and I meant to comment on how I miss fields & fields of Texas bluebonnets. I used to take a special weekend trip to the Hill country a week before Easter because that's when the blooms peaked.
Yea, those chocolate bunneh eyes are scary. I can't eat bunny, that's like cannibalism, right? I do like marshmallow though I saw in the store today marshmallow Minions made by the peeps people.
Love the pastel of the flowers in the field...so springlike. Happy Easter! I think your painting shows a bit of the awakening and transformation of the Easter season. Enjoy the bunnies with the strange eyes. I didn't get a bunny this year...only chocolate eggs which I guess is fine. I'll miss biting the ears off. lol
I forgot to mention how much I like the wild flowers.
Bag Blog, Ha! Gene started with the tail, maybe he just didn't want them to get mixed up. Heh.
Wildflowers are so nice right now. Another week they will be spectacular. Thanks.
Wabbitt, I didn't know you came to Texas, must have been before we got to "meet" each other. It is hard to eat chocolate bunnies if you think of them as bunnies. I think of them as candy!! The Minions sound cute.
Joan, yes the flowers are beautiful and a sign of the Easter season. I am enjoying the chocolate. I like the malted milk eggs and haven't had any for a few years. Malt is a gluten thing, but they probably don't have "real" anything in them, ha.
i alwyas used to pink the eyes off first and then eat the chocolate lol :p
I like the painting!
My chocolate bunny is all gone. :-)
Jennifer Rose. Ha. I just ate mine when I got to them. They were hard as a rock or like a jaw breaker!
Joanna, I still have a bite or two left, but now that you reminded me...it will soon be gone! Your dad's is long gone!
