Blue, Yellow, Red Sketch

It is Hunt 440 now  http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1399094

I sketched in the huge sketchbook with a Micron 05 and watercolor.  I really don't care to wait for the paint to dry.  I had to wait to take the photo, then I didn't have time to post as we were going to the UT Baseball game.

Numbers 1, 2, and 3 - Blue, yellow and red

The yellow is a cleaning cloth (supposed to be).  The machete is from Gene's work days.  He said they found more machetes than any other "equipment" left behind in the jungle.  Makes sense so you can walk and clear your path of plants and snakes, eh?

I find that when I sketch with no pre-sketching with a pencil, I don't step back like I do when I paint.  I didn't notice how small the machete was until I stopped putting on the color and was waiting for it to dry for the photo.  So added a bit more as you can plainly see.  Should have been paying more attention!

Before the first pitch on Friday evening.

This was a great first weekend of baseball.  Picture perfect weather!  So far the Horns are 1-1.  They lost the first in 12 innings 4-3 and won yesterday 11-2.  We will blame first game jitters for Friday.  UNLV handled the jitters better!  Hopefully the Horns will prevail and win today!  Hook-em Horns!!

Nice touches of color in your sketches. I guess a machete comes in handy in the jungle, but I wouldn't want to have to lug it around...my art supplies are heavy enough. lol

Joan, thanks. Your comment made us laugh!

Nothing is more boring than watching paint dry:) People in OK have machetes for the same reason as jungle folk.

Bag Blog, my chuckle for the day! Hope you don't need a machete too often! We have only seen one snake at this house. Several at the old place.

You and your blue wine glasses! :-)

Joanna, I have to keep the tradition going! Had to use one on Thursday for National Wine Drinking Day. I hear today is Margarita day. No special glass for that.
