I sketched in the huge sketchbook with a Micron 005 (fine line), sepia color. It doesn't show up here as much as black of course.
Number 4, stapler in 3 positions
Number 5, 6, 7, shoe - top bottom and side
Number 8, tissue
Number 9, sings a happy song - CD by the Chubby Knuckle Choir. They are a local group and make happy music, indeed! The house rocks when they play.
Check out their page http://www.chubbyknucklechoir.com/ and YouTube stuff. See them in person when you can. They are great!!!
We like to see them at The Bugle Boy in La Grange, Texas. The Bugle Boy is a listening room. The Bugle Boy was vandalized last week. Why do people destroy the good things in our lives? Makes no sense. The Bugle Boy is a non-profit that helps the community in many ways with music. They have a veteran's program to teach guitar and song writing, free on Sundays. The play last wish music for hospice and furnish music to nursing homes. They supply harmonicas for school learning and much, much more. The best part is bringing fine music to our area in a room where you can appreciate it.

The Longhorns won 2 out of 3 games against UNLV. Stanford is next, starting on Thursday. Hook 'em Horns! http://www.texassports.com/index.aspx?path=baseball&
Oh, and it is Margarita Day! Salud! Cheers! Make mine on the rocks with salt!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Nice sketches, Mom.
I love me some Bugle Boy!
Thanks, Joanna. Anyone that goes to The Bugle Boy ends up addicted! Live music is so much better than a CD and especially when you can be comfortable and actually listen to the singers and songwriters. Thank you for taking me so long ago!
Wonderful sketches, Jo, as always. And thanks for mentioning a worthwhile charity project; it's always heartening to hear about the many ways people work to help each other. I have enjoyed browsing a number of your recent entries and found your reflections on submitting art to juried shows very insightful and helpful. Thank you.
Mary it is good to "see" you. I was wondering about you the other day. I didn't have your blog on my reader somehow and was missing you!. Thanks for the comment. Entering contests and winning takes a different attitude than mine. Things to think about......
Nice sketches! Sorry to hear about the Bugle Boy being vandalized. How sad that people need to do something like that and ruin things for people that enjoyed it.
I don't know why people are so destructive especially with something that is wonderful. My students destroy the strangest things. Yep, they are destructive - probably because they think they are entitled to things - free, easy, and cheap.
Joan, thanks. Luckily the vandals were not good at their attempt. Damage mainly in the office and they should open again soon.
Bag Blog, it is so hard for me to wrap my head around the attitudes of folks. We always treasured and took care of things, especially free ones!!
