A new Hunt that I am working on. Scavenger Hunt 432 is underway. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1394582
Gene and I went to town. I took a painting to Art Connections Gallery where I have pastel paintings on display/sale. An item for the Hunt was to sketch 3 store fronts. I sketched two in my little sketchbook then it was time to meet Gene who had been in line at the Post Office. I drove down the street picked him up, we went to Staples, to get some cash, to eat burgers at Carl's Jr, then to the grocery store.
I was ready to post my sketch this morning and couldn't find the sketchbook! Weird. It wasn't in my purse where it belongs. I went to the car, not in the front seat or back seat where I had put the painting bag. I came back in. I decided I left it on the table in front of Maxines where I sat to sketch.
Wait ... no painting bag either. I looked around my studio and the house. Back to the car to check the shopping bag area in the back, back of the car. There was the painting bag and yes the sketchbook was inside that bag! Nothing like wasting time .. if you don't have time to do it right, what makes you think you have time to do it over??
Number 1 and 2, store fronts - Art Connections and the store next door. I don't know the name of it. They sell "stuff". Looked like clothes and antiques.
Most of the items on this Hunt are outside. Wonder how many I will do? Ha. It is chilly today, the Weather Bug says 41 and our porch thermometer says 59. That is over the predicted high. We will see if I sketch outside. I'm not as brave as Joan Tavolott http://watercolorsbyjoan2.blogspot.com/ in New York. She sketches outside all year round .. rain, snow or shine!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I thought I had posted a comment but I must not have. I said the saying is: If you don't have time to do it right what the hell makes you think you have time to do it again!

I got it wrong sorry the last word should be over not again.
Bag Blog, Looking for things you put in a special place to remember is the worst. Irritating and aggravating.
Jennifer Rose, so happy you had a nice day, too!!
Gene, we forget together and I omitted the swear word. Ha.
