Quiet Time

All our company is gone.  Larry http://www.larrycastillophotography.com/  was the last to leave.  Soooo quiet in the house.  Jennie and the grand-dogs keep everyone on their toes.  Brandon is pretty quiet, but has a special wit.  Joanna is our rock and special indeed.  Too bad we wiggle our noses like Samantha on Bewitched so we could visit for just a few minutes in person.  So much better.  Facetime is good, but.......

I did manage a couple of sketches yesterday.  The tree was leaning to the right, so it grew a little, then the table had to grow as well.  Hmmm.

Number 6, out the window
Number 7, money

We had a great week.  Ate too much.  Made our usual New Mexican food:  tamales, posole, biscochitos, chile balls, chile, beans, enchilada pie and more.  Joanna brings chocolate chip cookies.  We visited and played with our new toys.  Too much to list here.

Thanks to our wonderful family.  Visited by phone with all the rest!

I will wind down and then hopefully get back to the drawing board!

The food sounds much like our traditions. Though, I haven't made posole in quite a few years. I may need to do that soon.

I started a painting yesterday. Actually, I started it months ago and just now got going on it. I'll send a pic for a critique later.

Bag Blog, we still have a bit of posole and tamales left. Everything else gone, gone, gone. Ha. Good traditions. I'm excited about your painting. Looking forward to it. Pastels??

It was, indeed, a good holiday. Thanks, Mom! I've still got a little bit of food left. It'll be gone by the end of the day.

Well, not the biscochitos. :-)

Joanna, we have a few bites of stuff left as well. I always think I should make tamales and posole at other times of the year. Guess the Christmas feast wouldn't be so special, eh? Hugs.
