Hunting in Ink for 425

I did some sketching yesterday and today.  Only the one sketch was with my feet up and comfy.   I used the usual tools:  the large sketchbook and the Prismacolor 01.

Number 7, dish drain rack
Number 8, pantry/kitchen shelf- the plate shelf over the sink
Number 9, jeans
Number 10, knot - some knots on a pine tree

It is a bit cool with all the rain.  It is about 60 degrees.  After the high 90s last week, that is cool.   We have had over 9 inches since night before last.  Most of it yesterday.  It has been very quiet in the neighborhood.  Thankfully there hasn't been too much flooding.  We are high and dry.  I imagine our lakes have filled again.  We haven't been out to see if the overflow is running.  It's been raining!!

This bucket filled and ran over from about noon yesterday.

 The easterly lake.
The westerly lake and puddle in the yard.  The puddle was MUCH bigger during the rain.  It has really slowed to almost no rain this morning.  Little spurts of sprinkles.

A friend on wet canvas says we are having biblical weather:  drought, fire and floods.  Still lots of rain east of us.  Just a few inches of moving water can move a car and you never know what is under the surface of water across a road, could be a sink hole.  As they say in Texas, "Turn around, don't drown!"

Glad you are inside, dry, and able to sketch. I hope the rain helped with the fires.

Thanks, Joan. Looks like the rain and fires are gone for the time being. :) Doing swell. Larry came by this afternoon so we went to town and had dinner. Good to get out.
