I sketched at the dining table with the old Micron 05 in the travel sketchbook and added some colored pencil.
Number 2, refrigerator magnet - from Angel Fire with the New Mexico flag symbol and colors
Number 3, (which I didn't number??) key chain - Gene's with the Texas flag colors.

Joel always makes it interesting with his stories about the composers and history of the music. No one knows much about Bach, but the music is "grand".

After that we went to the second performance. We saw Byrd and Street. It was a fun show at the Solid Grounds Coffee House. It is a listening room atmosphere so makes the music stand out with very little distraction. A couple of couples danced in the corner. That was nice, too.

Kathy has a sweet voice and Tommy a rougher voice and the music and harmony is beautiful together. Tommy is a great songwriter and tells great stories. You would enjoy the music and their shows. Check out samples on their website and order a CD or two. They perform mostly in the Austin area but have a few road trips during the year so check the calendar.

I think the time is flying, because you are so busy. It is a good busy.

Bag Blog, we have been busy, but I feel a bit guilty for not painting more. That will pass. Ha.
Joan, busier than usual I think. The sky was in Albuquerque. It rained very hard for about an hour, then the sun came out. The earth always smells so good when the rain starts in the desert.

I'm jealous of all the live music you get to see lol Never go to live music anymore, too much standing and too many people possibly being pushy for me :/ oh well, do get to hear bagpipers once and awhile, which is nice to see when the group is all dressed up :)

It is good to hear live music. We try to go to listening rooms these days. Once in a while we go to a restaurant or bar type place but as you say noisy and crowded. The show for Susan Gibson was a bar but we sat up front, so could ignore the crowd. The Byrd and Street was outside/bar in Cimarron so it was OK and again we sat up front. In Albuquerque it was a listening room where they ask you not to talk and to turn off your phones. Very nice!!
I would enjoy seeing some bagpipers. They have one piper at the Memorial Service in Bastrop every May. He pipes in the colors (when they honor the flags)and Veterans and pipes them out again. About the only time we see any. :-)
