Number 8, jar - sliced jalepeños from HEB. I was wondering why they weren't very hot and today as I was looking more intently at the jar, I see is says "MILD" . No wonder! I hadn't thought about jalepeños coming in mild. I know green chile comes in all states of "hot". Duh!
Number 9, bottle - Hot oil for our Chinese food.
Now back to taxes. I'm working on Income Taxes. Texas requires me to pay property tax on my "art supplies" for business. So I am figuring how much I have in inventory, my equipment and supplies. It has to be reported by April 15 also. My inventory goes on the Income Tax as well, so convenient to do them at the same time.
Here is a bluebonnet painting for the season from the archives, 2006. The photo is small, I wasn't keeping all my old photos on this computer so the original photo burned. It was a donation to the Food Pantry fundraiser so the painting probably belongs to someone in Bastrop. It may have burned, too. I wonder?

Those "mild" green chilies we bought in Taos were probably "hot." I think the whatever you say you want, the salesperson says that's what they are. But the chilies are good.
Not a big spicy fan, my eyes are watering at the thought of eating even mild jalapeños :p

Bag Blog, Sometimes that is true. We bought some medium in Socorro and they were hot as well. I saw a sign in Austin for New Mexico chile, went in and asked how hot it was and where in New Mexico it was from. Chile is chile, he said, it is grown in Fredericksburg from New Mexico seeds. Hardly the same.....
