Out Back, Pastel Painting

This pastel landscape is the lake on the north end out back of our home.  It is typical of areas here in the Lost Pines near Lake Bastrop or other small lakes.  We have many birds and other animals here.  We have a white egret that seems to hang around our yard year round.

First Friday is now well known and a great way to spend an evening and get to know our community in the old historic downtown.

First Friday is an opportunity to meet the artists, check out downtown businesses, have a fine dinner at a local restaurant and listen to music.  Art of any media and style is available to purchase.

The First United Methodist Church of Bastrop, 1201 Main Street, offers PARENTS NIGHT OUT child care from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for First Friday Art Walk.  Infant through 5th grade.  Cost $15 for the first child and $5 for each additional sibling.  Call 512 321-2201 to reserve your space.  Reservations required.
