Hunting Sketches 391

I sketched on January 19, seems like yesterday!  Scavenger Hunt 390 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1369878 ended on January 21 and the new one started.  I'm not far behind.

Number 7, a bit of plumbing - I sketched the hoses on the dishwasher that Gene is working on.  I did it with no color and you couldn't tell what it was.  One of the sketchers said it looked sort of like an exaggerated city scape.  :)
Number 8, stack of something - the bowls on the shelf

I added some colored pencil to help separate the hoses from the lines on the dishwasher.  It helped a little.  The blue is a plastic part of the plumbing, too.  It made the bowls more interesting, too.  The ones on the left are from Mexico.  I sketched with a Micron 05 in the large sketchbook.

The blue bowls are bluebonnet bowls made by Lea Blue at Blue Donkey Gallery. http://bluedonkeygallery.com/Pottery_Gallery.html  Lea is a longtime friend and a gifted potter.  She is very generous and a loving person, too.  She is back in my links.  Someone had hijacked her website.  I just don't understand what people get out of spamming, hijacking or destroying something, it doesn't make any sense.

We received a new element for the dishwasher a couple of days ago and it was the wrong one.  We sent it back and hopefully the correct one will arrive today.  Amazon is good about exchanges and replacements.  So I'm still washing dishes like the "good old days".  http://www.jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-good-old-days.html

We have received about 3 inches of rain since last night.  Excellent!  We think you can see a bit of increase in our lakes.  It is cool and gloomy today, but worth it to receive rain.

There is quite a bit of marsh in this recent photo of the more easterly of the lakes.  We will see how it looks tomorrow.
