Stretching the Sketching

Yes, I have stretched my sketching over a few days.  I try to pose as soon as I do them because the story is usually better.  Really.  After they sit a while I have forgotten or am just not as interested as I was when I was hunting the items and then sketching them.

Here are my sketches from over the weekend and this morning.  I sketched on my iPad with Brushes and the last couple were in my large sketchbook with the Prismacolor Premier 03.

Number 6, building and number 7, gate.  Story?  Hmmm.  One of two of Gene's storage shed and he left the gate open.

Number 8, hand - Gene's hand on his mouse.  I'm guessing he is reading the paper.

Number 9,  made of leather - my black boots.

From the kitchen - spatulas, spoons, whisk in my red ceramic holder.

We had a fun Fathers Day.  Joanna, Jennie and Larry were here.  I cooked Gene's second favorite meal, pork chops and rice.

 Gene checking out Larry's camera.

Hey, Larry's camera flies!  You can check out photos he has taken with it on his website.  Click on the Bastrop Fire Department logo.  You will see our lake and more from up above!  Pretty cool!  Larry takes and sells photos in the San Marcos area which includes Bastrop and Austin.

Our Texas Longhorns play at 2:00 p.m. central time on ESPN against Louisville, keeping the competition in the family.  David's children attend/ed the University of Louisville as did Lisa.  The team that loses goes home!  Texas lost to UC Irvine and are now in the loser's bracket -- the hard way to win the College World Series.  Here's hoping!  Hook 'em Horns!!

While at Machu Picchu I thought of Larry's great-grandfather and had a good giggle.
