Baseball Note and Sketching Time Again.....

We have had a few nice days to make us think springtime is drawing near. Then we are back in our sweatshirts and coats.   We saw a few Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush on our way to Austin to the UT Baseball games.  Most of the games so far found us in heavy jackets and ear muffs!  The games have been interesting with new players.  They are finding their spots on the team.  Yesterday the wheels fell off in the top of the ninth and the Horns had their worst inning of the year.  They lost to Kansas, 6-1.  Ouch!  You can learn about it and see photos on texassports.com

We had our son Larry over and he served as model for my sketches for Scavenger Hunt 352.  He had wisdom teeth pulled so sitting still was not a problem.   Very quick sketches in the large sketchbook with a Micron 05 pen.

Number 1, lips - both Larry's, the second are the best.
Number 2, something from the medicine cabinet - his prescriptions

Number 3, home remedy - ice pack held on his chin for swelling

My three pastels are on exhibit at the Bastrop Fine Arts Gallery until the end of March.  If you haven't been by to see them, it is a chance to see some beautiful pastels.  I have three paintings at Art Connections Gallery across the street, too.  I would be happy to meet you downtown to look at them.  Let me know.

We got some rain on Saturday, which was great. It is still not quite warm here, and the wind has been blowing like crazy. It was good to talk to you. Toby wants to come to NM when you guys are up there.

Bag Blog, we are renting a house so look forward to seeing you. We are hoping for rain but no more cold. It is supposed to be 80 today, so t-shirts and baseball, then cool again tomorrow!
