This is the last day of Scavenger Hunt 348. I must get in at least one sketch, eh? This is in the large sketchbook with the reliable Prismacolor Premier 03. I sketched out on the porch with my feet up and had my coffee there. Is that great or what? I love the nice weather.

We were very busy the last couple of weeks with the limo ride/dinner/music. A friend from Kentucky was here for a visit. We met him in Alaska a couple of years ago. We had a great time. We also went to San Antonio to visit a friend we met in Peru, oh, so many years ago. We had many other "normal" busy days as well.
We shipped off the Thunderbird to be worked on and get it in good running condition. I'm wondering if it will end up in Mexico. Ha! The shipping companies are so competitive it is a bit scary. We will find out if it made it to Marana, Arizona today. It will be worked on by Roger's son-in-law. His family run company is QDC Auto Repair http://www.qdcautorepair.com/home. They do all auto repair and also build custom trucks and more. If you need something done in the Tuscon area, check them out. You can watch some videos of the "awesome" things they do on YouTube at QDC Auto Repair:

Then last night was the first home game of The University of Texas Baseball team. They played Texas A&M at Corpus Christi and won 10-0 in the 10 run rule in the 8th. They played California last weekend and their record is 3 - 0 now. (Oops, type-o, record 3-2 edited 2/20/14) You can read about the game here with links to photos, videos and more:

Interesting that Texas has now won 11 consecutive home openers at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The last loss came in 2003 to Texas A&M Corpus Christi. :)
This bad picture of Josh Sawyer pitching is from my iPhone but proof I was there, right? There is a good photo of Josh on the official page with the story on the above link.
(The temperature has dropped a couple of degrees since I came in from the porch a couple of hours ago. Gene is still out there! We had a couple of days where we could have the doors open. Nice!)
Off to paint, now! Woohoo!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

I'm glad the weather cooperated for the first home game of the year. I just wish I coulda been there!
Joanna, it looks like the weather will cooperate this weekend, too. Not looking as great for next Tuesday. :(
