Happy Thanksgiving to My Canadian Friends!

Happy Thanksgiving to Papi Jim in Waterloo and all my Canadian friends!

Today is special for us, too.  When Papi Jim and Papi Nino lived next door to us in Bolivia we used to go to their house for Canadian Thanksgiving and then in November they would come to our house.  It was a great tradition.

We have visited most of Canada since Gene retired in 1994.  We used to go there every summer.  Great people, beautiful country and lovely summer weather!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day  filled with good food and great memories.

The picture of you and I and Father Jim was taken at his house in Waterloo in August 2013 not 2012.

Gene, you are so right! It wasn't that long ago. :-( 2013 is correct.

Love that last photo a lot!

Thanks, Joanna. The Nelson/Kaslo area is a special and beautiful area. Small towns, narrow roads, big mountains, big rivers and big lakes!

I've been wanting to see more of Canada. The month in Calgary was wonderful. One of Toby's coworkers moved there this past summer. He has greatly enjoyed it. We will see how he does this winter.

Thanks, Bag Blog. We have thoroughly enjoyed all of Canada, but think that the Nelson/Kaslo area is the most beautiful. Seems like the winters there are not as severe as other areas. Nova Scotia was great, Victoria was great, Yellow Knife was neat, etc.........ah, it is all super. People are, too.
