Sketches for Hunt 321, Procrastinating

I have been sketching a bit out on the porch.  This morning was so nice, about 72 degrees.  We have had about 2 inches of rain in the last few days.  Excellent!

Here are a few more sketches I did yesterday and today for Scavenger Hunt 321, in the Canson sketchbook with the sad Prismacolor Premier 05.  The nib is bas as I mentioned before.  That makes it harder to sketch as I have to hold the pen upright to get a line.  I think I should toss it.  Here goes .... done!

Number 8, new - a crutch.  Actually it is old, but new to us.  Gene pulled a muscle and is trying to stay off his feet so we got some crutches at Bits and Pieces, the store that benefits the Family Crisis Center.  We try to give our charity to them, we have been volunteers since 1997.

Number 9, long - the pole holding up the birdhouse
Number 10, short - the bird feeder poles and fence posts
Number 11, green - the pine trees and the grass that is already turning from brown to green

Number 12, flower - the same old geranium.  I forgot I had bought some little flowers, mostly carnations.  Maybe I will have some the next time.

Number 13, hot - coffee
Number 14, cold - snack
Number 15, person - tried to do Gene, all out of proportion

Gene and I have been shopping for clothes for our granddaughter’s, Christy’s, wedding.  We never dress up so it is not a very interesting chore.  We tried to buy things we might wear again, but who knows?

Today we need to take them to be altered.  We are too short and round.  Sigh.  Does anyone really conform to store sizes?  I think the stores have all increased their sizes so you think you have lost weight, too.  I got one pair of slacks in size 14.  I haven’t worn a 14 in about 10 years or more.  Hmmmm.

Gene worked on putting up a new blind in the laundry room yesterday and I washed clothes.  I was mostly procrastinating and avoiding my studio.  I am in my studio now, my computer is there.  When I finish this post I will see about finding something to paint.  Maybe a windmill scene??  If I keep writing, I don’t have to think about painting .......  still writing ....... still writing .....  Ok, finishing up, get it posted and see what happens.  I will let you know.

I opened Blogger and see all my blog reading list.  Have to look at a couple.  Oh, no!  I stopped and will go post on wetcanvas.com and then start the painting process ....  really!

Good sketches. You're so good as sticking with your sketching. How wonderful that you're having 72 degrees and rain!! We're in Norfolk, at Little Creek, and it's in the 90's!

Hi Regina, don't know what is up, it is sprinkling again and very nice out. Hmmm. We are enjoying the rain. Thanks for the encouragement on sketching.

You're so funny. Put the computer down and go paint!!! :-)

I wish the rain and cool weather would stick around.
